Most ministries measure success by how many people fit in one room. We're after something different: how many rooms we can help open. Nieto Ministries exists to build the nationwide hub for coffee-house-style youth and young-adult ministry — not just to run our own flagship, but to equip and certify leaders everywhere to run theirs.
Our flagship program, The Grind, is a free Friday-night coffee house for young people ages 16 to 22. It works because it's simple, warm, and repeatable. Rather than keep that model to ourselves, we've turned it into something others can adopt: a clear playbook, a training path, and ongoing support so a caring team in any town can launch a Grind of their own.
We'd rather help start a hundred welcoming rooms than fill one big one.
A hub does three things: it sets the standard, it hands over the tools, and it connects the people doing the work. That means a resource library, a certification academy for leaders, a directory of chapters, and a community where leaders learn from one another. The center exists to serve the edges — every new chapter, every new leader.
Nieto Ministries is independent, Christ-centered, and fully inclusive across denominations. Every young person is welcome, and every leader who shares the mission — safe, welcoming, purpose-filled community for youth — can be part of the network. The faith is the foundation; the welcome is for all.
We're beginning in the Reisterstown and Baltimore area of Maryland, close enough to get the model right in person before we scale it out. The goal is a Grind in every community — and a trusted hub of resources and certified leaders behind each one.
